"Oh, if you insist... Why not get us some lambas bread? And some wine... I'm quite peckish" he said as he mulled over what she had said. "I'm glad Shadowfax is well - he worked as had as you did that night.... I thank you, Arien again. I would be dead without you!" he smiled and his old eyes crinkled as he chuckled

Arien nodded at his request. "I shall get it at once.." She got up and walked to the door, but before she left her hears caught his thanks. She turned her emerald green eyes to look towards him and she gave him a warm smile. "All of us are in this war, whether we like it or not, I choose to make the best of it, and the only way to do that is to be the best I can be in the feild." With that she opened the door gently and closed the door behind her.
Arien made her way to find the kitchen, but she forgot where it was, so she was a little lost until Lord Elrond's voice startled her. "Looking for something?" He was asking kindly, but his slightly deep tone and silent footsteps didn't giver the the warning. "Oh! Lord Elrond you startled me, I was just looking for something to eat and drink for Gandalf." He chuckled. "Indeed it has been too long Arien, it's down the hall, everything you need is already set out for you" She bowed softly and smiled. "Rest well My Lord.." With that she walked away from him.
She had found it at last. All of the food there looked delicious but she only took two lembas breads and two glasses of the finest elven wine placing everything on a silver try and then slowly making her way back to the room where Gandalf lay resting for now.

Gandalf heard her leave and lay, staring up at the ceiling. He didn't like lying here, unable to do anything. He longed to be up and walking, but he knew that it would damage the wound in his chest so it would heal even slower. Gandalf was a traveller, a person who did not like to be stuck in one place for too often, and he had already been in this bed for more than his liking! Restlessly, he shifted until Arien walked back into the room with the silver tray and he sat up. "Mmmm, it looks delicious" he said as he suddenly realised how hungry he was.

Arien smiled walking in and seeing that his appetie had increased. It was funny that only moments before she had offered and he had not accepted it. "Only the finest.." She chuckled. Arien set the tray on the side of the bed where there was a small table yet it was in his reach so that he wouldn't strain the wound. "There you are.."

Gandalf reached out and picked up a piece of Lambas bread and took a bite. He suddenly realised that they had not eaten all day and all of yesterdya either, for they had been at the battle, and the Witchking had strained his powers a lot in that battle, then they had travelled all night where he had nearly died (or worse) and Arien had collapsed of exhaustion. He took another welcoming bite of the delicious (to his mind) lambas bread and savoured every mouthful. He looked up at Arien and saw that she had not begun to eat. He frowned and said "Arien, do not be so modest. You have not eaten either - please help yourself!" it was a request, for he knew that she must be hungry as well XD

Arien smiled at him. Only taking a single bite from the lembas bread. I'm not used to eating. When I do it it's only a little not even I understand why." It wasn't to keep her figure or anything she was just a travelor and there would be those days where there would be nothing to eat and she would have to fight on an empty stomach. On top of that she didn't want to have to carry anything with her other than her horse and weapons. She traveled as light as she could. As for the wine, Arien, believe it or not, did not drink. Only on a special occasion would she take a sip of it but never just because she wanted to. "Go on Gandalf, eat up. I do not mind it at all."

Gandalf finished his piece of lambas bread and looked at Arien questioningly, but did not say anything. He merely chewed contentedly. Quite suddenly, as if he had made up his mind about something, he pulled back the sheets and slowly prised himself out of the sheets. He was still dressed in his filthy robes from when they had battled the Witchking. He managed to stand very slowly, trying not to bend over, as it would absolutely kill the large wound. He managed at last to stand. He looked down gingerly at himself. He was covered in dried blood. He wrinkled his nose in disgust at teh state of his clothes, then looked at Arien saying "I think i could do with some new robes, don't you?" he asked inquiringly.

Arien chuckled as she saw him get out for a moment. Although, she did feel bad that he had been wounded. She of course wanted to make things easier on him. So she got up and offered to go get him some. "I can of course get them for you. I don't mind. Sit and rest a little longer.."

"Oh, Arien. I was merely commenting on the state of them! You are charming." he chuckled and headed out of the room with her, looking for someone who could help them. He moved slowly and gingerly, as though scared that he would damage the wound even more, but all the same he walked out with Arien. The elves who they walked by stared at Gandalf, but not as intense a stare as a human would look. These elves were polite and knew it was rude, and of course they had seen him come in. They were staring because he was out of bed after he had just been stabbed! Gandalf was known all over the land for his stamina, and they admired him for it. They inclined their heads to the pair in respect and they knew what they had both been through, and especially Arien who had bene thorugh the worst.

Arien chuckled seeing as she was now slightly blushing. She would have gotten him new ones had he wanted it. She shrugged lightly, getting up once more she followed him out yet kept to his pace. She knew he was wounded, but he was like her. Stubborn and would not be confined to a bed even if they gave her money for it.

Gandalf moved towards Elrond's quaters and knocked on the door waiting for an answer. ((ooc: lol VERY short post!))

Lord Elrond heard the knock and so got up from a long couch he had set near the window. He had been deep into a book when he heard the footsteps of Gandalf and Arien down the halls, although he didn't know that they would show up at his door. Gracefully, his robes trailed behind him and he delicate hand opened the door. "Ahh! What brings either of you here?" He of course asked in a smile and with a friendly tone. His eyes moved from one to the other, Arien smiled warmly to him and then looked to Gandalf. He was the one who obviously wanted to speak to him about something. And if must have been important if he had got up to walk all the way to his chambers, without just sending Arien to do it.

Gandalf smiled as he said "I'm very sorry to disturb you Lord Elrond, but I'm afraid I need some new robes. It does get a little tiring lying around for too long, and I thought I'd come to ask you myself instead of sending Lady Arien here" he said inclined his head to her politely, before looking back to Elrond.

Lord Elrond nodded his head in agreement. "i shall have someone bring you robed to your liking Gandalf, but you need your rest. Why you are out of your bed I do not know." He had a smiled though, he knew that Gandalf was strong.
