Arien understood completely. Shadowfax was impatient and she knew why of course. Her small form grabbed Gandalfs arm and placed it around her shoulders. And her other hand went behind his back and she took him to Shadowfax's side. This was extremly difficult. WIth what strength she had in her, slowly but surely Arien got Gandalf on top of Shadofax. Arien climbed on behind and held onto him so he would not fall. She squeezed the horse's side gently and rode ot the men. "Do what you have to do to regain yourselves. I'm in a hurry. Gaara! Take my horse, and treat him well, as for the rest! I make haste to Rivendell! I shall return to you soon!!!" Without another word She spurred on Shadowfax. She could feel his speed, his worry. As was she. This responsibilty was greater than any.
She rode fast and hard. Rivendell to her seemed to get farther and farther and she spoke to Gandalf. "Hold on my friend, you shall be well soon. I promise.." She was breathing hard and the sweat ran off her chest slightly. She felt disgusting. Like the battle blood and debris had spilled on her as the rain poured down on her.

Gandalf heard her through is dark dreams - he heard her voice echo to him, and it was the voice of hope to him - hope from the terrible evil he was sliding into. He hung on to what he could while he could. 'Quickly Shadowfax... I am slipping' he called in his dream, though he knew that they might not hear him. However, in the real world, Gandalf muttred these words, and Shadowfax heard them. He was spurred on to run at his full speed - he would not tire until they reached Rivendell. Shadowfax ran all day and into the night. He did not stop, for he knew that if he did then Gandalf would slip. They reached Rivendell late at night. They had travelled so far in only about 18 hours. Shadowfax finally managed to slow to a trot as they wound their way through th streets to Lor Elrond's House. He stopped outside - he was panting heavily, his flank heaving with sweat pouring down, there was foam in the corners of his mouth and he was dishevveld, as was his rider, Arien. Shadowfax whinnied in impatience for Elrond and they waited. Gandalf now was half way into the darkness - his face was becoming crueler, the lines more rigid and he was losing body heat - Shadowfax could feel the evil in his friend as he lay on his back, and he neighed this time for Elrond.
((ooc: Arien, do you want to play Elrond?))

Arien was exausted, but pushed herself beyond her own limits. She was beyond greatful when she could see the beautiful waterfalls and marble city before them. She dismounted and took Gandalf down. Again, placing his arm over her shoulder and carrying him up what seemed to be like hundreds of stairs. "My Lord!! Lord Elrond!" She called. Her throat hurt so she knew that soon she would be sick. The rain, battle, tireness, and mud made her immune system weak. She coughed once or twice and then finally his figure appeared running down the stairs to her.
He was looking quiet elegant in his garbs. They were light green and a white type of sheer robe over it. Of course his crown atop his long dark brown hair. "Shar car cadaelaer?" (what has happened?) He spoke to her in a hurried voice. His eyes changing from a gentle welcome to worried seeing Ganfdalf's condition.
Arien was stumbling up the stairs with Gandalf as Elrond took hold of his other arm. "Open a room! quickly!" Arien said to an elf that was waiting at the top of the stairs and they led Gandalf to it. Arien of course speaking between her hard beathing. "Tyser Shadi...aer si shari os si Shas Karaer..." (Morgul Blade...at the battle of the Black Gates) She gently lay him on the soft white sheets now. To her he looked scary now. She had never seen him that way before. She was worried as now other elves came in to tend to Gandalf. Her eyes met Lord Elrond's for a moment. "Tal o caer cos?" (Can you help him?) She asked him. He replied, but in the tongue of men. "I will do all that I can" Arien nodded and said nothing more letting him do what he needed to. She could hear the incantations and spells that he was trying to save Gandalf with.
She of course didn't want to get in the way anymore and so went down the stairs again. Seeing poor Shadowfax dirty and not as white as before she got him to get up and washed him clean. Making him as white as ever. Combing his mane and tail and giving him a stall with pleanty of food and water. But as she closed the stall door and walked out into the stable hallway, she could take no more and she collapsed. She looked disgusting, blood, mud, everything you would find in a graveyard you would be able to find on her. She saw nothing but black. Although, she was in fact, quiet greatful for it.

Shadowfax was completely wiped out too - when the elves took him to be washed and tended to, then givin sweet, sweet food, he looked over at Arien as she left. He saw her collapse then whinnied an alert for the elves to come. They rushed in and tried to calm Shadowfax, but he stamped in frustration and they finally looked over their shoulders to see Arien lying on the ground, passed out. They hurried her away to a wash room to clean her. Once they had washed, re-dressed and combed her hair, they lay her in a room not far from Gandalf's with white sheets and wide windows, and there they left her, with a tray of food and water and wine on a bedside table for her when she awakes. Shadowfax, now satisfied that Arien was safe, lay down on the hay (for he didn't feel like standing up to sleep) and instantly fell asleep.
Gandalf was lying on the bed wth Elrond leaning over him, whispering hurried spells, his eyes closed. Gandalf's face was harsh and dark now - he had almsot passed over, but Elrond was holding him back. It would take a long time to take him all the way back along the dark path Gandalf had walked. His face twitched and he shifted on the bed, for his dreams were troubled and dark; He was surrounded by darkness, it was oppressing him, and there was nothing Gandalf could do - he couldn't move, speak or think. The blackness was inside him, and he could not resist. But he coud feel Elrond's presense, somewhere in the darkness, a glint of hope in this opressing nightmare - he tried desperately to reach for it..... Reaching........

Arien had felt nothing, heard nothing, saw nothing. Her body had gone numb. The exasution, fear, and all her emotions came crashing down onto her all at once. She didn't wake up until the next day, her vision was blurred, and she saw so much white. It took about an hour or so before she was completely herself. Still sore as ever, and every muscle in her body was so tense. She wanted to wake to know that gandalf was well. That all that she had done had not in fact been wasted. She sat up in the soft white sheets, they were cool and so very comforting. She lay there in the quiet room, seeing fresh food for her she took up a piece of lembas bread and she took a few bites and put it down. Her hand found the beautiful silver goblet that was near the plate of food and she picked up, bringing it to her lips, the cool liquid ran down her throat. It rehydrated her so very much for it had been so dry that she could barely breathe anymore.
Lord Elrond did all that he could, nonstop for a whole day and a half now he had been chanting encantations spells, speaking to Gandalf. He would not give up until he pulled through. Not only was he his friend, but if he fell through to the darkness, their greatest weapon could become their worst nightmare. He did not rest, eat, or stop chanting. Hoping that Gandalf would show some sigh that he was either stable and would continue to heal on his own or that he pulled through completely. He would accept no other condition. He had not even changed, for his robes were the same. No one had bothered him, nor dare walk down the hall where Gandalf lay. "Kalar, thol si jhol tia thol.....rni eirdar thys os vaeres.." (Gandalf, find the light my friend.....we await for your return..) Once those words had been spoken, Lord Elrond stopped. There was nothing more he could do, but he sat there at the edge of the bed, waiting for something; anything....

Gandalf meanwhile in his dark dream, had begun to move, his legs felt like he was wading through deep, sticky quicksand, but he was at least moving. His spirits rose and hope began to burn a path through the darkness so he could reach the light. He stretched out his hand as he moved sluggishly towards the light - he could hear Elrond calling him then silence. He knew that Elrond had released him from his paralysis but the darkness did not want him to go. It dragged his stiff legs back, but Gandalf fought. He struggled through to the end and he reached for the light, he was there! One more step........... Gandalf in the real world gasped and his eyes flew open - the hars, dark lines on his face had gone, and he resembled the Gandalf everyone recognised. He sat up and looked around wildly. "Where...am I?" he wheezed - his voice had gone very dry. He saw Elrond sitting beside him and he knew what had happened "Lord Elrond, I cannot thank you enough!" he said in elvish (sorry i dont know how to write any elvish ^^ he tried to embrace him, but he was too weak. He flopped down on his sheets and closed his eyes and sighed, but didnt fall asleep - he was afraid to drop back into those dark dreams again... he opened his eyes and looked around the splendid room, relishing the feeling of life, for he had so nearly lost it.

Arien sighed softly and looked down at herself. She was clean and well dressed, but she wanted to know that her efforts were not in vain. She pulled the sheets from her and she sat up. Taking in one deep breath she stood up, the pain in her legs shot up but she was bearing it. She was so very sore, she was in so much pain that she was numb, but she went for the door as if she was fine. Her hand reached for the beautiful knob and then she turned it with a flick of the wrist. She was out in the hallway soon. Tasking hold of the wall just in case. She had found the room where Gandalf had been placed and she knocked on it lightly. Hoping that someone was at least inside. She didn't know what had happened, nor had she seen anyone in the hallway or in her room. She waited patiently for an answer.
Lord Elrond's face softened as he saw that Gandalf had opened his eyes and he was back to how he was. The wound was closed, but it would not fully heal. He was smiling big in relief and confort as well. "Shaelysti shas or thol.." (welcome back old friend..) When he spoke this though, Arien's light knock came from the door and he stood and opened it. Seeing her there he smiled warmly. All Elrond did was make a graceful gesture with his hand to enter. And so she nodded and walked in. Seeing Gandalf there, she would have ran to him, but her legs would not let her at all. "Gandalf!" She said in a happy tone of voice. "You're alright!" She walked to the bed, but only stood by it.

Gandalf looked from the ceiling to the door when he heard the knock. He saw Arien enter and he smiled in relief and happiness. He had never felt so happy and grateful to see someone. "Arien my friend!" he opened his arms in welcome - he was very frail and weak, but he knew how much Arien had been through to help him. If she hadn't been there, he would probably be a wraith right now and be swallowed by the darkness completely. He looked at Elrond and thanked him in the elvish tongue must gratefully and embraced him too

Arien smiled and a slight chuckle escaped her lips as she went and embraced him softly so as not to hurt him. She sat there at the edge of the bed for a moment looking from him to Galdalf. She couldnt' have been happier to see him well. She looked to Lord Elrond though, she knew that he must be worn down so she offered her services, even in her condition. "My Lord Elrond, if you should wish it I can stay here with Gandalf and you may find rest for a little while. I do not mind, should something happen I know where to find you." She had a warm smile about her, she knew that for a few days they would be able to relax and rest up. Although, she also knew that there would be more battles other than this past one, but that was something to worry about later.
Lord Elrond nodded to her with his half hearted, yet tired smile. "very well, I shall check up on you both in a little while. Eat and drink, it will make both of you stronger." Arien nodded as well. "As you wish My Lord.." With that Lord Elrond left. His robes were flowing gently behind him as he walked and then all that would be heard was the click of the door closing. Arien's gaze returned to Gandalf. "How do you feel?" She asked gently, she of course did not know what it was like to be stabbed by a Morgul Blade.

Gandalf watched Elrond leave, then turned to Arien as he lay back on the sheets and sighed. "It is still raw, but I'll live" he smiled.

Arien couldn't help but to let her gentle smile overtake her. She was so happy to see that he was alright. "I understand Gandalf. Is there anything I can get for you. Something to drink or to eat?" She had much on her mind right now. For one she had to go get her horse. And she didn' t know what else was happening.

"I am fine thankyou Lady Arien, but I think you have done enough for me. I cannot leave Rivendell for some time now, for this wound takes twice the amount of time a normal wound would take to heal. If you wish to leave, do not do so with guilt in your heart. I will be right as rain in time." Gandalf said, looking into her eyes and telling her that he meant every word.

She smiled lightly. "Gandalf, I myself need rest so I shall leave in two days time, maybe less. My horse is with the Rohirrim and they are headed towards the Riddermark. I need to fetch him before they sell him or something to that nature." She had this warmness about her now. She was completely different here than out in the battle field.

Gandalf nodded and chuckled "I wasn't getting rid of you Arien - indeed, i value your company, especially now," he looked down at the deep wound in his stomach, which was (thankfully) hidden by the sheets. "Hmm. Your horse was that beautiful stallion. Shadowfax liked him I think" Gandalf looked out of the window as though looking for Shadowfax. "Is Shadowfax well?" he asked looking back at Arien

Arien chuckled at the statement of Shadowfax liking her stallion. She didn't think it possible, but she longed to see her own animal. Hearing Gandalf's worry over his horse though she answered him as best as she could. "yes, yes Shadowfax is well and resting. I bathed and groomed and feed her myself before I collapsed in the stable." She chuckled at that though. Wasn't everyday you would see Arien callapse from driving herself through pure exaustion. Besides, she didn't think that Gandalf was trying to get rid of her, she was only teasing. "Do you wish for anything? Anything at all Gandalf? I can get it for you if you wish it"
